Gregory Chow was like Marilyn Monroe to me. Marilyn was entertaining thousands of soldiers with Bob Hope in a valley. Every soldier thought she was in love with him. Many of us felt Gregory was ‘my’ best friend when he was in fact everyone’s best friend. What a charmer. Small wonder he had countless friends and girl friends.
Often he phoned me in the morning and greeted me with the 4 Chinese words expletive meant for my mother. Not only did I not mind it, I would happily accept the greeting because it meant the beginning of a good day. Such was Gregory.
When he passed away, the bunch of us disbanded. He was the glue. I have missed him very very much. ICECOOL
